Getting Started: Creating & Previewing Courses

MyMathLab provides complete online courses for Pearson Education textbooks in Mathematics and Statistics. Once you have registered in CourseCompass, you can create MyMathLab courses for as many textbooks as you like, and you can choose whether or not to make each course available to your students.

Creating a MyMathLab Course

Creating a MyMathLab course is easy -- all you need to do is select your textbook from the CourseCompass catalog and click a button to start the course creation process. In just a few hours, you will receive an e-mail letting you know your online course is ready!

To create a MyMathLab course:

You can also create courses by copying an existing course, copying another instructor's course if he or she allows, or copying what's known as a "coordinator" course to create a linked "member" course, where assignments from the coordinator course populate all member courses automatically. See the MyMathLab online help system inside your course for more details.

Previewing a MyMathLab Course

When the system has created your course, the course will appear in Preview mode, meaning that your students cannot yet enroll in it. You can spend as much time as you wish viewing and customizing a course before making it available to your students.
